Overland to Oregon is the remembrance of Edward Henry Lenox of the first large wagon train to travel to Oregon. He was sixteen at the time, and drove an ox team from Platte City, Missouri to The Dalles of Oregon in 1843. It was sixty-one years later that his book was printed, but he could still list the names of the men and women who made up that great emigration.
