The original 512 Edmond building was replaced in 1917
The 510-512 Edmond double storefront was constructed in 1917 by George Bode for $1,600. It retains its original Beaux Arts Classical Revival cornice and would be a contributing member of an historic district in the fine grouping of 19th and 20th century commercial buildings of the central business district
The building at 502-504 Edmond, the second story of this high quality Italianate commercial building is well intact and would contribute significantly to the historic district in the Central business district.
This building was probably built in 1876 when Ernest Wenz acquired the three pieces of property on which this building stands.
Mr. Wenz was a grocer who business establishment was on Frederick Avenue rather than here. He owned this property into the 20th century
The building at 506-508 Edmond, this double store front building was constructed in 1920 by the United Cigar store for $1,000. It retains its original raised and patterned brickwork and forms an integral part of a fine grouping of low, brick commercial buildings of the 19th and 20th Centuries south of the central business district.
This strip of buildings at one time contained the businesses listed above
These buildings still exist on the south side of Edmond between 5th & 6th Streets but all but one is empty
As you can see, there were numerous pawn shops & jewelry shops occupying these buildings
Before Urban Renewal, there used to be pawn shops on both sides of the street here
Wright Jewelry had occupied the building at 502 Edmond since 1935

In the 1960's & 1970's, just about every Western Dairy milkman ate breakfast at Carol Ann's or bought a cup of coffee
Carol Ann's daughter currently owns Adam's grille and Carol Ann worked there. Carol Ann has now retired
