302-304 S 6th - Vogelmann & Breunninger saloon, Jacob Breunninger saloon, Fishman & Handler saloon, Enos J Williams, restaurant, Harry Fishman saloon, Kentucky Liquor House, The Packers Market ....
This commercial structure was most likely built in 1887 as an investment for Mrs Amanda Corby whose name is on the water permit taken out in that year. This is substantiated by the building's abscence from the 1883 Sanborn map and its appearance on the map of 1888. The rear section was added in 1902 by the Corby Estate. Although the first story has been greatly altered, the second story of the front facade retains its elaborate Victorian period cornice and window treatment which renders this building a strongly contributing member of a potential historic district in the area of high quality 19th & 20th Century commercial structures
