Context
St. Joseph Trunk Factory (aka Endebrock & Son) was created by Frank Endebrock, a native of Prussia, Germany, who came to America in 1844. It was located at 102 North 3rd Street. He learned the trunk making business in Cincinnati. In 1870, Mr Endebrock came to St. Joseph and established his business of manufacturing trunks, valises and satchels. Endebrock's trunk business became the largest of it's kind in the Northwest. Frank Endebrock died on Sept 24,1933 at the age of 59. He was buried in the Ashland Cemetery.
