This photo/s shows the west side of Third Street, a portion of the wholesale district. Most of the buildings were offices and storage for wholesale grocery & fruit companies. The back side faced Market Square at the old city hall and later city market. A railroad spur ran through the area and produce could be shipped on railroad cars. These buildings were constructed from the 1870s through 1900 and lasted until the Urban Renewal removed them from the area.Collection
