After the 1960 Herman Drug Store damaged these buildings, the Eshelmans renovated them and extended their store to include 117-121 S 6th. Eshelmans sold all types of musical instruments, records and sheet music.
After Eshelman's closed several businesses occupied the building. In 2009, when the building had been empty for years the Eshelman buildings caught fire and were extensively damaged. After the fire 117 S 6th was demolished and is now a parking lot.
Em Chamas Brazilian Grill purchased the remaining buildings (119-121 S 6th and the adjacent former Herman's Drug Store location, renovated them and opened for business in July 2010.
After Em Chamas Brazilian Grill closed, the Ground Round restaurant moved from it's East Hills location and operated successfuly until 2023. In 2025, Beaudreaux's purchased and renovated the Ground Round location and move their operations to this location.

Eshelman's Music was located on 6th Street, between Edmond and Felix
After the Herman Drug Store burned in the 1960's, the Eshelman building was remodeled and it was extended to Edmond Street
We used to come here to listen to and buy the latest music records in the 50's & 60's
Eshelman's sold all types of musical instruments, records and sheet music
Numerous businesses had occupied the building since Eshelmans closed
In 2009, the building had been empty for many years when it caught fire and was damaged quite extensively
Em Chamas Brazilian Grill purchased the structure, totally remodeled it and was open for business in July 2010
With the remodeling, it was now a beautiful building inside and out
Em Chamas Brazilian Grill closed, hoping to move to the old Herman Drug building at 7th & Edmond
The Em Chamas move has not happened yet due to financial problems
The Ground Round restaurant moved from it's East Hills location to this building in 2013
Since the move downtown, the Ground Round's business has considerably increased
The brick building on the north side had extensive fire damage & has been removed, an empty lot remains
There was a parking lot across the street that was created during Urban Renewal in the 1970's. It was a pain to enter and exit, in short, it was a mess
In 2013, the city totally renuvated the parking lot, a major improvement
