Scope and Content

Pony Express National Museum 150th Anniversary Celebration Poster, April 1, 2010. Poster containing schedule for events surrounding this celebration. The Pony Express Museum welcomes over 40,000 visitors per year. The Museum is housed in the original Pikes Peak Stables. This landmark building has played an exciting role in the history of our scenic river town since April 3, 1860 when Johnny Fry galloped away with the first mochila of mail. A list of events are planned for April 1, 2, and 3. There will also be food vendors, settler's stores, crafts, exhibits and children's activities on the grounds daily. Bring this commemorative edition to the Pony Express information booth during these events and have it stamped with an Official Pony Express Mail Cancellation. One side of the edition lists the sponsors and the board of Trustees.
