Pony Express Parade, Horses, Wagons and Buggies, News Article, April 4, 2010. St. Joseph News-Press. News story of 150th Anniversary parade. Byline: Andrew Gaug. The Pony Express is honored with old-fashioned parade. This was a celebration for the 150th anniversary of the Pony Express. The only vehicles were wagons, buggies and stagecoaches. Every rider was decked out in traditional garb: lots of cowboy hats and decorated leather clothing. Hundreds of people lined the streets of the parade route. News photo of horses with riders holding flags.
