Pony Express Post Card from Re-ride, Pollock Pines, CA sent to St. Joseph Museum, 1987 The postcard has a picture of a horse and rider riding in to the Wells Fargo Office. The card is from Lillian Dixon from the California Chapter of the National Pony Express 1987 Christmas rerun. There is a Pony Express stamp from Pollock Pines, CA on the card and a 14 cent stamp of Julia Ward Howe.
Mail was carried from St. Joseph to the Wells Fargo Building on Sutter street. Here it was transferred to the Sacramento Valley Railroad, which carried it into Sacramento.
