Pony Express Post Card from Re-ride, Stamped Pollock Pines, CA, 1988. Postcard has a picture of a horse and rider riding into the city. The photo is by Larry Carpenter. Mail was carried from St. Joseph MO to the Wells Fargo Building on Sutter Street. Here is was transferred to the Sacramento Valley Railroad, which carried it into Sacramento.
The card was from the Rescue California Chapter of the National Pony Express 1987 Christmas rerun. The card was sent to the Pony Express Museum located at 914 Penn St. St. Joseph, Missouri. There is also a Pony Express stamp from Pollock Pines CA.
