Pony Express Rider Illustration Photo, Provided by Louis Hauck, c. 1923. b/w. Photo of a drawing of a Pony Express Rider on galloping horse, mochila beneath him, bugle attached to saddle, whipping the horse to go faster.
Artist unknown but typed message on back is "Pony Express. Copied from photo in our files. From drawing sent to us by Mrs. L. F. Hauck, St. Joseph, Missouri--when prod. "Pony Express" was made the 1st time." (Hauck wrote the pageant on St. Joseph history performed at 1923 celebration.)
However there is also a stamp on the back of the photos "Paramount Picture Corporation, May 21, 1952, Research Department".
