Raising of the Shipwreck "Arabia" is a spiral-bound booklet including type-written and copied notes and articles about the various times when searches and digs were made to find the sunken steamboat. Also noted on the cover and title page is "Sank 1856 Arabia Salvaged 1989". The early history of steamboats on the Missouri River and the hazards involved are among the first articles. For years stories and legends encouraged men to try to find the boat, but changes in the path of the river made for discouraging digs until modern technology made it possible to finally reach and unearth the Arabia in 1989.
