A green soft bound book "BUCHENAN COUNTY, MO LAND OWNERS RECORD OF 1877, Published by the Northwest Missouri Genealogy Society, St. Joseph, Mo.Context
The inside cover reads:
The Northwest Missouri Genealogy Society wish to express their thanks to Doris
Finley, Librarian of the Reference and Research department, St. Joseph Public
Library, St. Joseph, Missouri for permitting us to use the well-worn 1877
Atlas of Buchanan County, Mo for this record and to the members who assisted
in making this book possible.
This is not an Atlas! But a true record of one. In each instance, every name,
location and number of acres was faithfully copied. In many instances, where
the acreage was too small to permit the owners name, initials were used. These
have been included and appear at the beginning of each letter. This does not
include this City of St, Joseph, Missouri.
