Richardson (Lloyd) World War I Political Cartoon, 1918. Black ink drawing entitled "About as Near as He'll Get". Depicts a steep mountain road with Victory flag at top. Boulders "U.S., England, France, Italy" close the road nearer the summit. A German soldier is driving a team & wagon up the steep incline. The load in the wagon is "Lies, Debt, Political Unrest, Kaiserism". The wheels sound "Crack" and "Squeak". Signed. Richardson '18.
