Richardson-Roberts Dry Goods Company, 302 N. Third Street, 3rd & Jules Streets, 1893-1920. Designed in 1892 by E.J. Eckel, Architect. (American Electric occupies this building in 2011). 07.33.814A Exterior View, Corner & Front of building, looking west down Jules Street. Sign over corner entrance: "Richardson Roberts Dry Goods Co.". Jules Street is brick-paved, as are sidewalks, buggy & team parked on Jules in foreground. Man stands in intersection, 8 x 10", bike leans against building on 3rd Street side Corner of building opposite to east is visible, sepia, mounted on cardboard, 1893. There is a duplicate print in Oversize, Drawer B, front.. 07.33.814B Exterior View, Front & Side of building, Similar view to "A" above but a few years later as evidence by growth of tree across street. The sign above entrance has changed to "Richardson Dry Goods". Fire escape on Jules side. Wyeth Hardware sign on building behind Richardson building on Jules, 7 1/4 x 7 3/4", linen, backing, c. 1899. 07.33.814C Exterior View of front door, stairs, column, decorative work, "Richardson Dry Goods" signs on each side at corner entrance. Curb in front deteriorating into bricked street. 6 x 8, mounted, c. 1920 07.33.814D is the glass negative of 07.33.814A.
