Rix Family Folder includes letters, photo, and an audiocassette about members of the Henry G. Rix family and his activities. Henry (Heine) Rix was president of Hesse-Rix Company and President of St. Joseph's Board of Police Commissioners, in 1938.
The audiotape (07.13.2Q) was done by Jerry Rix (uncle) about his World War II experiences in the Pacific.
During World War II, Henry Rix worked in Washington, D. C. at the Office of Production Management. Henry's letters written during the war years were mostly to his Mother. (07.13.2A-L). He tells of seeing President F.D. Roosevelt and meeting Harry Truman. Also included is a ticket to the Stage Door Canteen in Washington, D.C.
