Robdoux, Josephine (Corby) Portrait Photos (3), Letter from Felix granting marriage, & her Hrtwork, c. 1861. b/w. Josephine, the daughter of Felix, Robidoux, granddaughter of founder Joseph Robidoux. Photograph of framed portrait of Josephine & her husband, Francis P. Corby, portrait of Josephine as young woman, and photo of a tapestry/painting of angel created by Josephine. #122 is letter from Felix to Corby granting his permission for Corby to marry Josephine. The photos were used in a article in the Museum Graphics, Vol. VIII, #4, Fall, 1956
95.1H.127 & 128 = Josephine Angelique Robidoux as a young woman, perhaps age 20's. Head to waist seated pose. She has dark hair, pulled back with side braid. Her button-front dark dress with long full sleeves appears to be satin in floral print. The white lace collar rounded and secured with a pin. She is wearing a wedding ring. #128 is the same pose but longer pose shows the skirt to the knee area. (Included are 4 unmarked copies of these photos)
95.1H.129 = Wedding photo, perhaps, of Francis P. Corby & Josephine Robidoux. This is a photograph of a framed oval portrait of the couple seated, with Corby on the left, in formal suit, appears satin coat with tails. Josephine is wearing a light-colored dress with stripes and very large circular cuffs at the end of the long sleeves. Her dark hair is pulled by with a side curly visible.
