Saurman Portrait Studio Photo of Mother & Daughter, c. 1885. Studio portrait, full-length, of woman, seated, and teen girl, standing. The woman, with dark hair pulled back, is wearing a dark skirt with large pleated hem, a pointed over-skirt, and front-buttoned bodice with lace edges at collar and sleeves. She has a pin at throat and longer chain necklace. The girl, about age 13, is wearing a calf-length dark dress with ruffled tiered skirt, the bodice is nearly knee-length with wide ribboned edge and long sleeves. Her waist-length hair is waved and worn over her right shoulder. Unidentified. Sepia, 4¼" x 6½" on cardboard backing.Made/Created
