Selected Acquisitions 1977-1987, A Bountiful Decade is a catalog prepared in conjunction with an exhibition of some 116 works of art selected from the more than 2200 acquisitions made by The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art of Kansas City, MO during the time period of 1977 to 1987. The catalog was compiled and edited by Roger Ward with the assistance of Eliot W. Rowlands. The catalogue is divided into the following departments: The Arts of Africa, Oceania, and the Americas; Oriental Art: China, Japan, and South Asia; European Art; American Art; Twentieth-Century Art; and Prints, Drawings, and Photographs. Included is and Index of artists and a concordance by accession numbers.
