Context

A. The image displays an old envelope addressed to Mr. Richard Denicke at 1709 Francis St. It has a 2¢ postage stamp and is postmarked SAINT JOSEPH, NOV 20, 2 PM, 1939. Inside is a vintage invitation card with elegant handwriting on textured paper, possibly designed for a poker or card game event, as suggested by the small illustration of playing cards in the upper corner. The card is addressed to "Miss Frieda Bombeck," inviting her to an event taking place on Thursday, Dec 7th at 8 PM, with a request to reply. B. The lower empty envelope is addressed to Master Frank Boder, c/o Mrs. Louis Boder, City. The 2¢ stamp depicts "The Landing of Columbus" and is postmarked Saint Joseph, FEB 26.
