Russell Winkle and Elizabeth Winkle Deed to Frederick W. Smith, 1857.
Both parties are from Buchanan County State of Missouri. The parties of the first part, and in consideration of the sum of $4,000 the parties of the second part receive land lying and being in the County of Buchanan and State of Missouri ten acres out of North half of the northeast quarter of section 20 in township 57 of range 35 commencing at the northwest corner of said quarter section thence east on the line dividing section 17 and 20 to the western boundary of the Hannibal and St. Joseph Railroad a new location on said quarter section, thence south to Micak Road to a point thence by running west excluding said Winkle new Farm house leaving the same south of said line to open line of said quarter section thence north to the place of beginning, so as to contain ten acres.
