Land Deed, Joseph B. Smith, Sheriff Buchanan County, to Frederick W. Smith the Southeast quarter of the Northwest quarter and the Northwest quarter of the Northwest quarter of section 16 in Township 56 range 34 which said land was sold by Buchanan County to Jesse Butler on the 5th day of July 1841. After being advertised Frederick W. Smith purchased the land for the sum of $320. Recorded January 2, 1857.
