Sale of property within St. Joseph to Jane Smith which had been seized by sheriff and sold on courthouse steps for nonpayment of a judgement against the previous owners who were J. Francis Smith and Frederick W. Smith. The judgement against them was for $2,046.33 plus $13.60 court costs, to be paid to Benjamin F. Loan, judgement passed 2-26-1876. Property was sold by sheriff to Jane Smith for $200 on 10-21-1881.
