Warranty Deed, Jane Smith to Robert Stewart, 1884.
This deed was entered into November 16, 1883 by and between Jane Smith, I. Francis Smith, Augustus M. Smith of Buchanan County and Josephine A. Duncan, and John A. Duncan of Jackson County state of Missouri and Josephine and John Duncan county of Jackson are sole heirs of Frederick W. Smith deceased and Robert Stewart. For the consideration of $500 paid by the said party of the second part the land lying and being in the county of Buchanan was the south 40 feet of lot 3 in block 71 of Smith's addition to the city of St. Joseph, the east 10 feet of said lot being for use as a public alley. Said property fronting 40 feet on Thirteenth street and being 130 feet for alley.
This deed was filed for record in Buchanan County February 9, 1884. Thomas Finch was the recorder of deeds.
