St. Joseph News-Press Final Edition, 30, 1988, Souvenir Issue. Daily afternoon newspaper published by the St. Joseph News-Press & Gazette. The Gazette was the morning paper and the News-Press the evening paper. On July 1, 1988, the two newspapers merged and only one paper was published each day, originally titled the News-Press/Gazette. In 2012, the survivor newspaper is simply known as the St. Joseph News-Press Front page lists chronology of the St. Joseph News-Press from 1879 and is a historical review of the paper and city from 1879-1988. The regular newspaper is also include with news of current events, columnists, and sports.
