State of Nebraska,
County of Sheridan
I, T.W. Comer, of Gordon, Nebraska, being duly sworn do depose and say:
That I have been for many years past a licensed Indian trader on the Pine Ridge Reservation at Porcupine, South Dakota, which is near the old Battle ground of Wounded Knee.
That I secured the attached pictograph sometime during the year 1890 from Standing Bear, who painted the same, it being his idea of the Battle of The Big Horn of Custers Last Stand. Standing Bear was a participant in Custers last Battle.
That I sold the pictograph to Allen A. Strong of Gordon, Nebraska in the summer of 1918.
