Story of the Lost Trail to Oregon tells the return of Ezra Meeker to the Oregon Trail in 1915, sixty-three years after his first journey with his family to Portland. This trip was made by automobile instead of ox-drawn covered wagon. In 1924, at age 93, he followed parts of the trail by airplane. In 1928, his 98th year, he attempted again to travel the trail but became ill and died after reaching Seattle by train. 30/Softbound/Illustration/Photograph
