Legend: "Barn at Strawberry Station site (1962) is said to date to Pony Express days. The name probably goes back to the man that patented the land in 1858. HIs name was Berry and he is said to have fed straw to travelers horses instead of hay. On old Highway 50. Calif. 1962".
