This book is the SWPA Newsmap, Jan.-July, 1944, Vol. I, which was published weekly and carried news of the war in words, maps and pictures. There is a notation on the inside cover which says, "Donated to the Saint Hoseph Historical Society by Col. Homer P. Dittemore, Nov. 8, 1954." Slipped inside the book is an 8" x 10" picture of 2 gentlemen believed to be Bartlett Boder, an active member of the Historical Society, and Homer Dittemore.
