Description

Touch the Past. This is a set--tape and songbook--of a collection of 22 traditional melodies, popular along the westward wagon trails during the 1850's and 60's, is a unique opportunity to study the past through music. Included with this recording are the music and lyrics for the songs on the tape and a brief diary, keyed to the music, relating the adventures and hardships typically encountered between St. Joseph, Missouri, and Oregon. Esther Kreek is the major musician with her hammered dulcimer, assisted by other musicians with their instruments and singing. We have 6 autographed copies of a record and 4 songbooks of this same recording. Tape, Audio
