Description

The True Story of Jesse James starts when he was a boy at home helping his mother and step-father. Frank had already left home. Early trouble started with Jayhawkers looking for Frank and their trying to hand Dr. Samuels in order to get information. Trouble kept getting worse as Jesse grew older and caused him to join Frank and others. Like so many others of his generation, Jesse James was caught up in this nation's most destructive and violent war. It is only possible to understand him by first understanding the times that produced him. This story employs elements of history, psychology, biography and literature in an attempt to understand a man who lived a life of heroic proportions. This book is from the Don Reynolds collection. 474/Softbound.
