Up the Missouri with Audubon is the diary of Edward Harris. In the summer of 1843 he accompanied John James Audubon on an expedition up the Missouri River to the Yellowstone. The journey lasted six months, and the diary is complete - from the daily expenditure of ammunition and food to carefully recorded descriptions of fauna seen along the way. Included are buffalo hunts and encounters with Indians both friendly and hostile. It also tells of the friendship between Harris and Aubudon. This volume is number 15 in the American Exploration and Travel Series.
