Master Plan for Van Meter State Park, Saline County, Missouri was prepared by the National Park Service, Department of the Interior in cooperation with The Missouri State Park Board. The first sentence of a letter written September 29, 1960 and on the first page of the book states, "We are herewith submitting a Master Plan for the preservation and public use of Van Meter State Park." This is Volume I which includes the following chapters: Objectives and Policies; Visitor Use Brief; Park Organization Brief; and Park Operations Outlines.
