Description
Verfassung des St. Joseph Turnvereins is a booklet of the statutes of the St. Joseph Gymnastic Society. The first half of the book is German. Following is an English translation. Purposes of the organization are physical and mental training and culture, promotion of sociability, a lively interest in all progressive movements in conformity with the spirit of the general principles of the North American Gymnastic Union and to further a rational education of the youth. Booklet gives the bylaws of the St. Joseph group. Also of interest in the St. Joseph Museum collection is 86.28.3 & 4 (DSB Box 8I Misc. general - we 12205) which are 1860 minute books for the organization.
