The Wares of the Ming Dynasty is a good-sized volume which includes one hundred and twenty eight illustrations of which eleven are in colour. An inner page states that this volume is "Respectfully Dedicated to H.R.H. the Crown Prince of Sweden." The Preface states that "The purpose of this book is to explain and illustrate as many varieties of Ming as possible." The Contents includes chapters on the Ming Technique; Ming from the various centres where it was made; and also from the various dynasties. There is also a chapter on Marks, Inscriptions and Chinese Characters.
