Description

White satin wedding dress, tea length, with lace over skirt. Floral appliques on bodice, v neck with net at neckline. Nancy Ann Kieffer-Marvin Stilgenbauer wedding, 1956 From wedding announcement in newspaper: "a waltz-length gown of satin and nylon tulle. Its fitted basque bodice had a sheet net yoke bordered with a deep flange of jeweled lace medallions which effected a boat-shaped neckline. Her sleeves were of a semi-cap style. A satin peplum edged with lace medallions extended over the very bouffant skirt of accordian pleated tulle. The bride's veil fell from a net cap which was edged with ruching and pearls. She carried a casual arrangement of white starlight roses centered with a detachable corsage. The bouquet was tied with long knotted streamers of satin in an off-white shade."
