Description

What Lies Beneath is an article written by joe Blumberg and Alonzo Weston telling of the many myths concerning tunnels built underground in the St. Joseph area for various reasons. They describe several tunnels that were built for people to safely get from one side to the other under the railroad tracks, and tunnels connecting buildings at the old State Hospital site. Several homes had tunnels also, as did Central High School. That one could have been used as a shelter. 3/File Folder/Photographs
