Description

Why We Can't Wait was written by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The jacket states this about Dr. King: "The moral leader of America Eloquently states the case for Freedom Now." "Eloquently it presents the logic of the Negro's dissatisfaction with well-meaning but futile 'due process', step-at-a-time plans for achieving a condition that is one hundred years overdue." The book jacket also states that "two chapters of particular importance is a letter which Dr. King wrote from Birmingham jail to answer the eminent churchmen who had critized the 'timing' of this 'outsider'" and the concluding chapter referring to political implications during an election year. Included are eight (8) pages of pictures at the time of marches and riots. 178/Hardbound/Photographs.
