William Word (1807-1878)
William Word was the father of Ellen J. MacFarland, formerly Leach, mother of Meary Leach Moss. He was, therefore, Mary's grandfather. There is a plot at Mt. Mora Cemetary, St. Joseph, MO. which is the Word/Leach plot. William and his wife, Susan Barton Word, are buried there as well as J.B. Moss and his wife Mary. (also the McFarlands)Context
