1 folder ; 9" x 14 3/4" This folder contains photocopies of the 1848 tax data for St. Mary's County districts 1-5. Sadly, the names of the columns have been cut off, but we can guess: Property holder, name of property if there is one, number of acres, valuation, male and female slaves under 14, value, males 14-45, value, males over 45. There was more to the page, but Mrs. Raley was more interested in the personal names and the names of the properties, so she only copied 11" in width.
