2014.013.0132Description
The first photocopy of an Abstract of Will is one where Ann Guyther signed renouncing her claim to her late husband William Guyther's will. She decided instead to take her dower or legal share of the estate instead. She agreed to the Executor and allowed him to sell off his estate to cover any debts. The Executor was her son George.
The second Abstract of Will was signed by James A. Guyther renouncing his claim to his mother Ann's will. James signed this on August 5th, 1847. He gave up his inheritance on one of her slaves.
Hope also included an excerpt from "Chronicles of Colonial Maryland" page 342. It mentions that Ann's son George was a first lieutenant.Collection
