Adams marker in Bethel Cemetery in Chesapeake City, MarylandEntry/Object ID
1994.001.0036Description
This is a color photograph of James and Gertrude Adams' grave marker in Chesapeake City, Maryland. Mrs. Adams lived about six years longer than her husband. There is a flat gray slab with rough-hewn edges next to the ground and the second stone centered on the top of that slab has the names. "Adams" is above a graceful series of lines with flowers and leaves draped over them. "James E. 1873-1946" is on the left and "Gertrude E. 1875-1952" is on the right. A marker for the Stubbs family is visible behind and to the right of the Adams' marker. There are several other low markers facing away from the camera.
