Adna Johnson house on Cedar Point, Md.Entry/Object ID
1995.001.1615Description
Black and white 8"h x 10"w photo of the Adna Johnson house. The view shows the gable end and one long side of the two story clapboard house. There is an outside end chimney on the gable end that pierces the peak of the roof. On the second story, two over two window with shutters are on the left of the chimney. There is no window on the right. On the first floor, there is a two over two window with shutters on each side of the chimney. There are three people standing near the chimney examining the house. On the second story of the long side of the house there are three two over two windows with shutters evenly spaced. Below is a shed roof fully screened porch with three bays on the short side and eight bays on the long side. The screen door is in the sixth bay from the near corner. The screening is in a series of tall rectangles above and short squares below. There appears to be an interior railing on the lower part of the screening with close vertical bars to perhaps prevent a child or a pet from pushing out the screening. There also appear to be two interior posts on the short end of the porch. To the right is a two story addition to the building--one upstairs shutter and part of a first floor window and the roof line are visible.
