Description

Carte-de-visite in sepia tones 3 1/4"h x 2 3/16"w of Albert Fenwick. This is a "head shot" only. Mr. Fenwick probably has brown hair that is parted on his left and combed over to the right. The hair is full and curly around his generous ears. He has a full mustache that curls down slightly around his mouth. He has on a white shirt with a small dark bow tie, a vest with a small shawl collar that comes up high on his chest and a coat that may have ribbon trim around the lapels. He is turned slightly to his right and looks in that direction. He is not smiling. The photographer, John Goldin, has his name and address on the verso: "No. Market Street, Penn. Ave. Washington, D.C." and additional copies are available, but there is no negative number. Mr. Fenwick wrote the subject's name in blue ball point at the bottom of the card and someone else wrote the name in pencil on the top of the verso. This piece was in the upper right of page 2 of the dark red photograph album.
