Description

Black and white 8" x 10" photo of Aleck Loker's birthday party on July 26, 1917. A large table was set up outdoors next to the porch and more than twenty children were crowded around. They were probably supposed to have sat still for the photographer, but that did not happen. There was a dog curled up under the chair at the head of the table. All the girls had big white bows in their hair and most of the boys had on white suits with short pants and often a large tie at the neck. The photo reveals a large crack or tear in the negative. ******************************************* Text on verso: On a separate sheet a numbered list of attendees, but there is not a numbered photo to match the names "The Tar Town Gang--July 26, 1917 and a few downtowners 1.
