8 3/4"h x 9 7/8"w black and white photographic reproduction on foam core board. It was a large two story white house with dark shutters and with gable roofs in an L shape. There was an outside end chimney on the right and the top of another chimney loomed on the left. There was a larger than normal shuttered window in the peak of the gable end. On the second floor gable end were generous windows with shutters, including one around the corner from the end. A hipped roof three bay porch covered all of the first floor of the gable end. A large bush obscured all but one six over six shuttered window on the porch. On the long wall were two six over six shuttered windows; at the time of the photo, they were open to the breeze. A standing seam roof covered another three bay porch. A door and one shuttered window was visible under that roof. A horse and buggy stood in front of the hotel and a picket fence enclosed part of the yard. Dr. Guyther used this image in an early presentation on the northern part of the county.
