Black and white print produced from the negative of a photograph taken of the carte-de-visite for Aloysius Francis Fenwick (1817-1887). He is posed in the photographer's studio leaning on a marble topped sideboard with a large clock near his hand, a chair in front of him and cloth draped behind him. He has on a frock coat, a vest, white shirt, small dark tie, light colored trousers, and boots. He has a full beard, heavy eyebrows, prominent ears, and may have a comb-over. He does not wear glasses and is very solemn. This black and white photo is rather grainy. Sadly, Mr. Fenwick wrote Mr. Fenwick's name on the verso in ballpoint and it made an impression on the photo itself.Collection
