1 sheet ; 18" x 11"
18"h x 11"w heavy brown paper sheet with a beautifully drawn, hand colored representation of part of America Felix Secundus, Clark's Rest, & Bond's Security. Lewis Thompson surveyed the three parcels on December 1, 1922 and this drawing was made by V. Wathen on December 4, 1922. The scale was four chains to one inch.
The names of the surveyed properties were in the upper left quadrant in black ink. A compass rose was beneath them. There were seven numbered parcels with the acreage contained in each. There was a large swath of woodland whose acreage was not identified. Some of the varieties of trees were indicated. The southern border of the property was Maryland Route 5. The adjacent properties were Potato Hill, owned by W. B. Dorsey, Green Briar, Paul W. Hayden's land, Tudor Hall, owned by Dr. Sothoron Key, and Richard Edward's land. It is a lovely piece, but the paper is acidic.
