A publication called "Police Collector's News" ran an article in August 1987 about the commemorative badge issued for Sheriff's deputies in St. Mary's County in honor of the department's 350th anniversary. The badges were purchased by members of the department and were to be worn for 1987 only. There is a photo of the badge.
