Black and white 3 1/2"h x 3 1/2"w photo of the interior of Bachelor's Hope. A fireplace is a feature of the photo, as well as two beautiful built in cupboards. The firebox has an arch at the top and an ordinary metal screen in front. A brush hangs next to the fireplace on the left and there is an needlepoint? firescreen on a stand on the right. There are a few courses of brick in the floor also. The entire wall containing the firplace is paneled to the ceiling. There is a narrow mantel that serves as a plate rail. There is one large white plate in the center and two camels on the outside with two tiny what-nots filling the in-between space. The cupboards have graceful arched glass doors with eight full lights and two arched lights at the top. The cupboards are painted white inside to show off the lovely objects. There is a footstool to the right of the fireplace and a needlepoint chair. There is a round table with a turned pedestal supporting a brass? lamp. There is an oriental rug on the floor and another upholstered chair with matching footstool in front of the camera. On the far wall is a window with full length draperies and another round table with a lamp. There is a candle chandelier above.
